Follow these instructions to set up your Microsoft 365 mailbox for your Outlook app on your Windows laptop or desktop

  1. Open your Outlook app
  2. Go to “File” > “Info” > “Account details”
  3. Click “+add account”
  4. Enter your details:
    • Your name: Enter your name as you want it to be displayed to the recipients of your e-mails (usually your first name and last name).
    • E-mail address: Enter your e-mail address
    • Password: Enter your password
  5. Click “Advanced options” > “I want to set up my account manually”
  6. Select “Exchange” from the different options
  7. Enter your password
  8. A message appears: “… Everything is being prepared.” Wait a moment.
  9. If everything went well, your account should now be ready
